In response to the article in the Gold Coast Bulletin on Friday 12 September, Alison Pout one of the 23 patients defends the controversy around our largest number. Just hours after having her surgery Alison Pout said such criticism was “ridiculous”.

The 31-year-old mother-of-two from Bargara told ninemsn she was recovering well in her hotel room after going under the knife this morning. “I think it’s great, it’s a professional service and the surgeons were wonderful,” she said.

Ms Pout said she had been wanting to have breast surgery for a long time and had paid $7880 for a nine-night holiday surgery package.
“I’ve always been flat-chested but especially so since breast-feeding. I wanted to do it for myself,” she said.
