The initial surgeons’ evaluation and cost during the assessment* and evaluation stage was based on the medical form and pictures provided. During consultation and examination with the surgeon prior to surgery, is when your final Treatment Plan and Cost will be set. Here you will also discuss and confirm the surgery and options:

Pre/Post Surgery Information

At least 3 weeks prior to surgery
• Avoid prescribed and over the counter medications (unless specified by your Medical Practitioner), vitamins, herbs, supplements and red wine
• QUIT smoking completely OR 4 weeks prior and post surgery

Follow your surgeons post surgical instructions
• Pain medication and antibiotics are prescribed
• Pressure dressing is removed after 5 - 7 days. (Children should be kept relatively quiet during this time)
• Sweat band should be worn at night only to protect the ears. Avoid sleeping on the side of you head for 3 weeks
• Avoid initially and then limit exposure to water, moisture and sun; Avoid alcohol as this causes dehydration
