Examinations and cleaning - a quick trip to the dental clinic for a full examination, clean and scale

Composite Fillings
Tooth-coloured composite resin fillings can be used to replace old amalgam fillings or to treat teeth with active decay.

Inlays and Onlays
These are porcelain restorations used for treating larger restorations. If a cavity needing replacement is large for a filling material but not large enough to be requiring a full crown, you may be suitable an Inlay or an Onlay. An Inlay or Onlay are lab-fabricated porcelain restorations that bond to surfaces of the tooth, like a filling.

An Inlay, occupies an area within the tooth whereas an Onlay covers the biting surface and a portion of the outside of the tooth also. These restorations are bonded to the teeth, which protects the remaining tooth structure from breaking.

Whitening
Whitening reigns supreme as arguably the most commonly recommended dental procedure: Laser, or a Home Bleaching Kit (highly recommended).

If you have any other concerns or questions relating to procedures and treatment, please ask whilst at the hospital dental clinic. This may be about Orthodontic (braces) work for yourself or children, extractions, wisdom teeth extractions etc.
